Our laboratory focuses on local and regional geodynamic studies in several regions of the Earth. The primary activity is the development of 2D and 3D numerical models constrained by fundamental observations from geology and geophysics.
The integration of the observations provided by the geopotential fields (gravity and magnetic) helps to better restrain the models.
Our goal is to understand the long-term evolution of subduction zones and associated surface observations. Time-space variation of volcanic arcs and arc geochemistry, slab detachment and slab-edge processes, the effect of plate tectonics on
subduction systems, represent some of our research interests.
We are looking for motivated graduate students to work on computational geodynamics. Basic knowledge of Linux, Fortran or C is a plus.
Openings for postdoctoral scholars are also available in the field of computational geodynamics.
